Job Opportunity - Assistant Store Manager

Summary: Accountable for the success of assigned retail location through the execution of business and sales plans, driving sales volume, coaching and development of staff and upholding and enforcement of company set customer service standards and policies and the promotion of company core values and behaviors that win. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ? Responsible for the management and oversight of store operations through the coaching and development of store staff. ? Prepares and or delegates store monthly/weekly/daily sales plans for the store based on historical data in line with company set planning policies and tracks the execution by store staff monitoring metric results and coaching on areas of focus to ensure the success of store sales plans. ? Responsible for monthly submittal of Workforce Planning Report, Staff Recognition Recommendations and Audit Sheets to various departments. ? Partners with Store Leadership (Assistant Manager & Store Shift Supervisors (MOD?s)) on Workforce Planning to obtain insight on coaching and development efforts, sharing performance results during various shifts and contributing ideas for the improvement of staff performance. ? Executes the Company Retail Training Program and focuses on the continued education and development of the store by creating learning opportunities for the store. ? Upholds company policies and procedures ensuring the execution of same by supervised staff, taking corrective action and coaching as necessary to ensure compliance.? Accountable for the compliance of all company set Merchandising Guidelines through proper implementation of floor sets, displays and planograms by both personal contributions and staff supervision. ? Responsible for the prompt execution of all company directives including the communication and delegation of same to subordinates. ? Accountable for the proper management and control of store inventory (merchandise and company property) through the observance of loss prevention policies, execution of inventory control related procedures including cycle counts, recommending inventory level minimum/maximum levels, product rotation as well as other related activities.? Accountable for reporting facilities maintenance via the company service ticket system to ensure store facilities are presentable, safe and operational. ? Leads, contributes, and participates in regular regional meetings, leadership meetings and regular all staff meetings.? Ensures the regular and consistent execution of open/close and shift change procedures including coaching in and coaching out. ? Accountable for the completion of vault safe procedures for day to day transactions and in preparation for armored car, ordering currency change for the vault and training staff on the proper use of vault transactions and reporting. ? Contributes to and completes upon need store staffing schedules based on sales and productivity needs of the store. ? Accountable for the completion and assistance with of all human resources paperwork including the preparation and contribution to employee performance evaluations, employee changes, adjustments, time adjustments and payroll related activities. ? Regularly reviews store sales performance reports for the purpose of tracking store metrics, sales planning and productivity analysis consulting with the Regional Retail Manager on areas of focus for the store in order to establish successful training and coaching plans. ? Completes and executes staff performance management and development of store associates through coaching/training while on the floor and disciplining, promoting, recognizing and terminating. ? Accountable for Accounting and Finance related paperwork and correspondence with the Corporate Accounting Department through personal execution of tasks and the proper training of MOD?s on the completion of Daily Sales Reporting Paperwork, end of day reconciliation, and discrepancy research.? Accountable for the proper execution and training of staff on all cashiering and cash handling transactions based on company set policies. ? Upholds the highest customer service standards in accordance to company set guidelines and is accountable for the execution of same by supervised staff. ? Accountable for the safety and loss prevention tasks through training and consistent compliance with company policies related to loss prevention, safety, emergency preparedness and injury prevention. ? Works independently with minimal supervision remaining accountable for actions and establishes credibility with team members. ? Works well in a team and is able to engage in sound and responsible interpersonal relationships with staff at all levels of the organization. Requirements? High School Diploma or Equivalent? Minimum 3-5 years in a manager role in a retail environment? Work well in a team and be able to engage staff at all levels of the organization.?
